Salvation is obtained by faith, which is truly believing in, trusting in, relying upon, and resting in Christ’s shed blood on the Cross, which is His finished work. This a person does from the heart (in their soul and spirit), and not by simply praying The Sinner’s Prayer parrot fashion, although this verbal confession can be made once the person has received the free gift of salvation in his / her heart.

A person is saved / born-again when he / she truly believes in his / her heart that it is possible because of Christ’s substitutionary sacrifice on the Cross for him / her, and that salvation is obtained because of what He did, His shed blood, and not anything that person has done or can do.
