Salvation is obtained by faith, which is believing in, trusting in, relying upon, and resting in Christ’s shed blood on the Cross, which is His finished work. This a person does from the heart (in their soul and spirit), and not by simply praying The Sinner’s Prayer parrot-fashion, although this verbal confession can be made once the person has received the free gift of salvation in his \/ her heart.<\/p>\n
A person is saved \/ born-again when that person believes in his \/ her heart that it is possible because of Christ’s perfect substitutionary sacrifice on the Cross for him \/ her, and that salvation is obtained because of what He did, His shed blood, and not anything that person has done or can do.<\/p>\n
The sinner’s prayer<\/span><\/p>\n Dear Heavenly Father<\/p>\n I come to You in prayer, asking for the forgiveness of my sins.<\/p>\n I not only confess with my mouth, but truly believe in my heart that Jesus is Your Son, and that He died on the Cross at Calvary so I might be forgiven and have eternal life in the kingdom of Heaven.<\/p>\n Jesus, I believe that You rose from the dead, and I ask You right now to come into my life and be my personal Lord and Saviour.<\/p>\n I repent of my sins, and will honour, worship and praise You all the days of my life!<\/p>\n Because Your Word is truth, I confess with my mouth that I am born-again and cleansed by the blood of Jesus!\u00a0I believe in my heart that it is because of Jesus\u2019 shed blood, His finished work, and not my works, that I have now received the free gift of salvation.<\/p>\n Thank You Father.<\/p>\n In the name of Jesus.<\/p>\n Amen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Salvation is obtained by faith, which is believing in, trusting in, relying upon, and resting in Christ’s shed blood on the Cross, which is His finished work.
